Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation

Storytelling By Holly (Nigig) Meyers Miami/Cheyenne

Holly and her husband Dave, have been members of Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation, a not-for-profit service, since it's beginning in 1996. Throughout these years, Soarin' Hawk has made it possible for the return of sick and injured birds of prey to be released back to the wild, to live their lives as they were intended. With the help of folks like you, and our volunteers, we have maintained a release rate of 50-55% of birds in need that come our way. Recently, we were proud to release an immature Bald Eagle back to her home in Miami Land.

Holly has been a Traditional Women's Dancer for over 20 years and has been a part of Mihsihkinaahkwa Pow Wow since it's beginnings, so it only felt natural to tell the Peoples stories of these magnificent birds and how important they are to us.

Please come and enjoy their beauty, and hear their stories!
